... and that's an adaption of a recipe by JP 👩⚖️ it's not the easy easy recipe but it's one that screams comfort food. It does contain meat and is gluten free.
Ingredients
6-8 medium size potatoes, (a good knob of butter and a tablespoon or two of milk)
1 medium size onion - diced
2 carrots - diced
1-2 tablespoon(s) vegetable oil
450 gr minced beef
300 ml beef stock - hot
1 tablespoon Worchestershire Sauce
2 tablespoons Soy sauce
1 tbsp cornflour (make into paste with a little bit of water - 1-2 tbsp)
100 gr frozen peas
50-80 gr grated cheddar
tabasco, salt, pepper to taste

Start with peeling the potatoes and put them in a pan with some salt on the hob, let them boil for 20 minutes, drain them and mash the potatoes with the butter and the milk and set aside ...
Turn to the pie filling. Put a pan over a medium heat, start with the oil and then add the diced onion and diced carrots, fry for a minute before adding the minced beef. Fry till the beef is turning brown, then add the Worchestershire sauce and the soy sauce before adding the beef stock, keep the pan at boiling point for 3-4 minutes before adding a paste of the cornflour with some water to thicken the sauce. Add the peas and keep simmering for 3 - 5 minutes. Spice up according to taste.
Fill the filling into an ovenproof form, then spoon the the potato mash over and flatten it on top of the filling. Add the grated cheese and put into the oven (pre-heated at 200° C) for 25 minutes.
